  1. This is a great giveaway! This bucket full of food storage would be wonderful as we are struggling right now to pay off some debt and are living off of our current food storage with a family of 7.

  2. I would love to be able to give this to my mother-in-law. She doesn't have any storage herself and I want to give her something to get her storage started, and hopefully motivate her to get some of her own storage!

    ReplyDelete
  3. That would be great for our 72 hour kits for our family of 7. We are relocating to NJ and given the recent storms there we need to beef up our emergency supplies.

    ReplyDelete
  4. I am following my inspiration to get more prepared. This sounds like an amazing addition. Just found your blog and am working my way through all of your hints and suggestions.

  5. This would be a great evacuation kit for hurricane evacuation.

    ReplyDelete
  6. My family and I have been working toward our goal to be better prepared for earthquakes and fire danger (California) in the event of an evacuation. This would be a great addition to our emergency kit. Thank you for offering such a fantastic giveaway.

  7. I think this would be great for my family! Thanks for doing such a great giveaway.

  8. I am trying to be more prepared than I have been, mostly been using up and not replenishing. I have never bought anything in one container like this so it would be a great addition. I have a large family (7) so it would be very helpful.

  9. Just what we need! I am serving in RS presidency and have taken responsibility for preparedness since we have no one else. What a big job! This would help my family and also help as I try to get the sisters in our ward more prepared. Great give away!

  10. I would love to win this. It would be great to have something easy to grab in an emergency.

    ReplyDelete
  11. We are working diligently in getting prepared and this would make one less thing to worry about.

  12. Trying to get our food storage and 72 hour kits together and this would be great to have!!

    ReplyDelete
  13. I've just started getting our 72 hour kits together and I do like the kits that already have everything in them. This would be a great addition to what I'm doing. I'm thinking it would be great to keep for our trailer. We have 7 in our family and every little bit helps!

    ReplyDelete
  14. Wow! That would be a great supplement to our 72-hour kits, especially as we are a family of four.

    ReplyDelete
  15. I love the idea of it including a self filtering water container. I especially find it great that it is grab and go and includes everything necessary for sustaining one person for 12-days, as we can see with recent disasters that it might take a significant amount of time for aid or power or access to supplies. Thanks for the chance to win one.

  16. I have been slowly getting everything together. You never know when there will be an emergency. My kids help me organize everything. They wonder what we area saving all this food for and I tell them "just in case". We would love to win this for our family of 4! Thanks!

    ReplyDelete
  17. This would be a great addition to what I already have as far as 72 hour kits go. I love that it is all together and ready to picked up if need be. Thank you.

    ReplyDelete
  18. This would be very helpful to us as it is all in one container. Would make grab and go much easier.

    ReplyDelete
  19. This would be helpful because it's already put together!

  20. This would be great, we currently have a wildfire within 2 miles of our home (in CO), and though we're not under imminent threat anymore, for a time that wasn't certain, and we had all our important documents and valuables stacked at the back door for the just-in-case. Our root cellar is fairly well stocked, but nothing is really easily grab-able (or as nutritionally complete in just one bucket), and this would be great if the unthinkable were to happen and we got an evacuation notice. We'd have no problem feeding ourselves for a while if we were in our house, but if we didn't have a house anymore, that would be another story.

    ReplyDelete
  21. What an awesome package! I've got a six month supply stored up and am now working towards long term (1 year) storage. So this would be perfect. And I like that you really could grab it if you had to go quickly!

    ReplyDelete
  22. This kit would be great for my family to have something just to grab on the way out the door in case of an emergency. With very little available storage space, this kit would also be an excellent way for us to store more emergency supplies.

    ReplyDelete
  23. I am just now getting started, made my first purchases Tuesday of this week, never thought of Being prepard for just more than "gathering for winter" like my mom tought me, I have a pretty good idea and have started with the basics, this would be a big help, Thank you

  24. We live in a gorgeous area of the state...central washington, but we usually have fire threats all during the summer. A few years ago we were on level two evacuation orders and trying to get things into the cars ready to go at any time. This would have been a nice addition!

    ReplyDelete
  25. This is an awesome giveaway. My husband and I have just started getting prepared with everything. Its always been we need to, but we never get around to doing it. Always the excuse there is never enough money. But we now that's not true, just having to buckle down ourselves. This would be great to help get started with. We live in a townhouse with little storage, but having something like this bucket wouldn't take to much space. Thanks!

    ReplyDelete
  26. I've been working on emergency preparedness lately and with prepping for Sandy I realized that while the long term food storage stuff is good to have, something easy and "just add water" that you can grab and go is essential in hurricane prep.

    ReplyDelete
  27. I love that this can be a 72 hr kit for 4 people, we had to bug out due to fires this summer this would be so handy

    ReplyDelete
  28. I would like to win this just so I knew I had something to grab in case we had to scram. It's much lighter than canned food and the food is ready to prepare.

    ReplyDelete
  29. I have some food storage but no freeze dried. This would be handy-dandy to "grab and go" with the kids in tow. Thanks for all you do!

    ReplyDelete
  30. Ideally I would need 7 of these....but one would be a start! I love how that much stuff is packed into one easy to store bucket. With a family of 7, space is always limited! That would totally take care of the food side of the 72 hour kit...an area where ours is definitely lacking! :)

    ReplyDelete
  31. This Kit would be a lifesaver for my family! We live on the New Madrid Fault (which is long overdue for a massive earthquake), but have no room in our tiny apartment for the storage of emergency rations. With this kit we can still be prepared without taking over our limited living space with supplies. When that "Big One" hits, we will be prepared with this kit.

    ReplyDelete
  32. I would LOVE to have 4 of these (family of 4) and to win one would be awesome! We have been struggling with my student loans ($50K) since I graduated 2 years ago and then also having 2 kids and buying a home. I have to take 3 months off with both pregnancies due to preterm labor and have to put bills/loans on hold. It's funny I found this today though because with all that's happening with the economy and the future of our country has been a wake up call of what's to come and tonight we decided to put away a little money each month to start food storage. So to win this would be a life saver!!! Thanks!

    ReplyDelete
  33. This is a wonderful kit. I am really new to "prepping" - I am working on the 72 second kit, 72 hour will be next project. This would be a HUGE boost to my family's preparedness. I also like it because my family is mostly vegetarian and so is this bucket. That seems to be pretty rare from what I've seen so far.

    ReplyDelete
  34. I think this grab and go kit would be of great help to me as I am just getting started with food storage.

    ReplyDelete
  35. I been lucky in my adult life but I remember as a kid a big snow storm with no electric or school for a week. My mom cooked on the wood stove and we ate by candle light. My Dad taught me to play checkers. I am sure my mom could have use the kit when I was young. So I am hoping that I can get one for my supply self.

  42. Great for an emergency.

    ReplyDelete
  43. Would really appreciate this- we are a family of three, banded together so as to provide 24-7 care for our 92.5 year old Dad. I've been working my way through this blog to work on our preparations & have been grateful for the kind and helpful recommendations here that make it achievable vs. overwhelming.
I have just laid in 7 days of water (& trying to figure out where to put it all! upstairs? downstairs? what about flooding or tornado considerations? lol)
I'd appreciate the kit as a way to learn more- would scrutinize the contents as a starting point as to what's further required.
(Of course, we'll follow up with purchase of additional kits from the sponsor!-gotta reciprocate the love! ;)
    Thanks! :))

    ReplyDelete
  50. We already have 72 hour grab & go kits, but are wanting to start on a "sheltering in" kit for emergencies that would require us to quickly isolate ourselves in an interior room with plastic barriers sealing the doorway/vents. We plan on using our master walk in closet. This would be the foundation of that kit, we would add more water, n95 masks, radio, etc. All would be left in the closet with the precut plastic so that we could seal ourselves in quickly without having to run around and gather up other gear.

    ReplyDelete
  51. We have a family of five and anytime we can get ahead in our food storage/emergency prep, I love it. We need to start rotating soon so this would be a great start.

  80. This year my husband who is in the Army had just left for the entire summer. The day he left we had strong winds and lost power for a week. I was left to take care of the kids. Thankful for our generator. But, it made me think more about my emergency preparedness. I am not LDS, but have worked with several LDS dentists. I was always amazed at how prepared they were. I realized I needed to be more prepared. I am staying home to raise the kids, so money can be tight. I am slowly stockpiling our food, building our water supply and emergency supplies. I am getting there. I would love to add this to our supply to really get it going.
